Mahler: Symphony No. 10, revised performing version by Remo Mazzetti Jr. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, conductor (Telarc): The great debate rages on over which completion of Mahler's final masterpiece, the unfinished Tenth Symphony, is the most accurate reflection of the composer's wishes. Now appears the first recording of musicologist Remo Mazzetti's second thoughts on the realization that he prepared in 1989 and that Leonard Slatkin recorded with the St. Louis Symphony five years later.
