Last night the Aleron Trio (violinist Solenn Séguillon, cellist Anne Suda, and, on this particular occasion, pianist Ian Scarfe) returned to the Old First Concerts series at Old First Church. Over the course of their visits, they have presented a broad spectrum of the chamber music repertoire, balancing music of the past with recently composed works. However, during their tours they have been performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Opus 56 “triple” concerto with orchestras; and last night they brought this piece to Old First.
